Glossary

This glossary of computing terminology is a collection of terms gathered from a vast source of reference material. Scotsmist have worked on this glossary for some considerable number of years. The original author of the glossary The boss started this huge reference of computing terms back in 1983 when he was a systems analyst and programmer. What interested the boss to start this collection was, that night after night he would read computer literature (sad git) and every new subject he studied added yet more jargon. One of the easiest ways to start on the long journey of learning a new subject is to first understand and remember the lingo. When the boss understood all the words in the glossary at the back of the book he was some way towards understanding the new subject. Why so many words, he would ask himself time and again.
Understanding some jargon is one of the first things a new PC user should think about doing. It makes the whole learning experience less of a strugle.
